The Architecture of Paul Rudolph - Paul Rudolph's Home, Beekman Place, New York City - Photographs by Francois Dischinger

I was introduced to the Paul Rudolph House after Rudolph had passed away and his estate was I guess debating what it would be doing with his legacy.... In typical design world frenzy, there was much morbid speculation about who would get what out of the house.

One of these types used me as a way to legitimize themselves and therefore I got the chance to shoot the house.... I was very excited to have this opportunity and spent a day photographing the interiors.

I used an 8x10 Polaroid camera and this produced these very distinctive prints, which are sadly beginning to fade...
