Mockingbird - An Interview With Antony Cherrie (the love child of Billy Idol and Sonic the Hedgehog) - Photographs by Charles Moriarty

1814: You have been described as the love child of Billy Idol and Sonic the Hedgehog. Can you explain this?

AC: Well that's quite an odd mixture, one is quite is quite sexual and one is quite cartooney. It always reminds me of that furry fetish that's so disgusting.... I think it is quite an interesting analogy. For me, I guess the performance aspect is quite sexual, but at the same time I am a massive geek so it's bringing that together. It's a big complement that people would compare me ever to him because people always say he is a good looking guy... Sonic the Hedgehog is obviously much better looking and he's obviously a lot faster as well... and it's always good to be compared to someone with speed. It's both the things I like... music and video games.
